Facebook’s Market Share is now $25bn (Bigger than Yahoo)

 


If Facebook were a publicly traded company, its market value would rival that of Yahoo and they would be ten times bigger than AOL if its private shares demand is anything to go on. Shares of Facebook on pricate-company stock market SecondMarket are going through the roof right now. This week Facebook shares traded on SecondMarket passing $50, giving Facebook a total market value of $25 billion, while Yahoo’s value currently at $21 billion and AOL’s at $2.3 billion.

Google Pays $75 to Blogger users with a PC

 


Google are paying $75 in gift vouchers to anyone over 21 years old and has a Windows PC. All you need is to have 60 minutes to spare!

Google wants users to test the usability of its Blogger service on their own computer. They are prepared to the volunteer $75 in American Express Gift Checks if you participate in a screen sharing session and a phone call with some of their people. Note you must also be willing to allow them to record audio or video of your session.

AMD's priority is Netbooks not Tablets

DigiTimes has announced that the processor vendor AMD isn’t bothered with powering the next generation iPad or any Tablets for that matter. AMD are instead waiting to see if the market takes off before jumping in. Instead they will be focusing on Netbooks aswell as continuing with their Desktop PC products and Graphics Cards. It has also been announced that they aren’t too interested in investing in Smartphone technology.

Apple Unveils a New HTML5/Web Standards Showcase

After Apple became under fire a couple of months ago about its App Store not being more open, Apple’s response has been that there is a portion of its devices that are totally open.. the Web. Apple’s message to developers was that if they don’t like the App Store restrictions then they should make a web app. There have been a lot of critics since then who believed this is a silly idea as its in Apple’s interest for me people to make native apps. But to disprove this Apple has now released its new website.
